Ariel graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2001. She married her husband Matthew in 2002 and they have four children together. Ariel taught mathematics at Brooke Point High School before their first child was born. She stayed home with their four children for 15 years before going back to work for the Navy. She is also a certified Hydrotherapist and certified health coach. In addition, she works part time for the Juice Plus company and models for Bellah Modeling Agency. Ariel is sole author of Though the Mountains be Shaken and co-auther of Dust to Salvation.
Ariel decided to write Though the Mountains be Shaken, for those who are striving to be the person they envisioned in the face of life’s challenges. Ariel has been blessed with the ability to be very open, honest and real and she does no less when writing this book. From never feeling good enough, to a ten year health crisis to a 22 year eating disorder, Ariel tries to not only help others see that there is hope but also that there is reason to press on. Ariel tries to live up to the quote, “I want to inspire others. I want them to look at me and say, ‘because of you, I didn’t give up.’ “
