Raven Dahl

Raven was born in McBride BC, Canada. She moved a lot like a modern gypsy, over thirteen times by grade seven and, in doing so attended school in three different provinces. With the constant moving and getting married by the young age of 16, she did not complete her high school courses and credits until the age of 28! She then achieved GED certification with a top 5% in her local adult center, towing in her then three children all under the age of five.

Raven is a self taught graphic artist mostly as a hobby, she started in the 1990s and was one of the original pioneers of Adobe Photoshop Versions 1-5 before it was taught or available for courses in colleges. In 2020 she started up her hobby again, noticing big advances in Adobe Photoshop 10. New Advanced and WILD OPTIONS she is not accustomed to for filters, layering, and editing, she plans to spend her free time when she is not writing books, on learning the modern version and all their advancements in creating and altering of graphic images.

She recalls some of her favorite childhood memories were authors touring and reading at her various schools she was able to attend across Canada. She plans to start her own East to West coast tour to read her books both in Canada and USA. Focus on Kindergarten and Grade 1 Students, she also will go to various locations, whether it be a little town library, or a big city book store.

Since 2009 to present she lives in the Okanagan BC, Canada. It called to her soul she was home and this is where she plans to stay for her adult life.

She always enjoyed reading rhyming and silly books growing up and was able to read them to her children. Raven believes Imagination, laughter, and out of context situations, are fun and ignites creativity. She believes in singing, dancing, creative play, and computer interactions have great benefits for everyone and future success.

She had two librarians read her rough draft several years ago and tell her: "The Loudest Kids in The Universe book was worth bringing to the public" Which started Raven on the process of bringing her first book to the public. Needing a great illustrator after her years off of computers and Photoshop, mainly devoting previous decade to being a stay at home mom and delivery driver, she had to rely on others for the graphics and a few editors, but she is happy its completed.

This is Book #1 in : THE LOUDEST in the Universe book series. She is excited to share this Laugh out loud book with all. The private previews, and half a dozen kids reading it and their personal reviews have always asked to finish her book if they did not get to the first time, and told her they can not wait to have it in their school to watch their peers laughing while reading it too.

She encourages all who like to write to continue. A writer writes always!
