Roger Gaess is an American writer, now living in Brussels. He worked for many years in New York as a journalist. As a freelancer, he's published scores of articles, in outlets ranging from the New York Times, Le Monde diplomatique and Toronto Globe and Mail. In addition, he edited Leaving the Bough: Fifty American Poets of the Eighties (International, 1982), an anthology of younger poets. He is also a photographer.
