Martin Levinson started writing back in 1979. OK, it was just a note to the milkman asking him to leave half a dozen eggs and a packet of smoked streaky, but since that seminal piece, there really has been no looking back.
Married to high profile lifestyle coach, interior designer and vlogger, Arncha Sikaver, Martin divides his time between his rambling estate in deepest Somethingshire - which he shares with his wife, chickens, dogs and five children (one of each) - all of whom are home-educated by Arncha due to their Boden modelling commitments - and his studio apartment in London's King's Cross.
Here, away from the bucolic ideal of the family home, Martin continues to explore the complex relationship between alcohol, Class B drugs and paid-for sexual gratification.
Martin has not won the Whitbread Prize for Literature, although he did once chat to someone who had appeared on BBC Radio 4's Front Row.
