Vicki Sando

Vicki Sando is an elementary school STEM teacher and educational green roof advocate. She founded the first official public-school green roof in New York City, which has received numerous awards since its opening in 2012. In 2019, she wrote The Kingsland Wildflowers Green Roof Teachers Guide for grades pre-k through 5th grade. Ms. Sando recently founded Nausicaa Valley Press, which is an independent children's picture book publisher dedicated to providing environmentally focused, artistic, and engaging picture books to inspire future generations to create a more sustainable world.
