I was born in a coal mining town in Nova Scotia and moved to Ontario at age nine. In 1964 I obtained a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Toronto and worked 35 years in firstly the aerospace industry and then the power industry. In the 1960's I was a material stress analyst on the 747 jetliner project for Boeing but after 1968 was a design engineer ( mostly) on both coal-fired and nuclear stations. I worked in Canada, USA, Argentina and South Africa.
In 1999 I took early retirement and applied my training and experience in objective analysis to social and political problems. The first project was to answer the question of what fundamental rights every person in the world has. This culminated with my first book, "Human Rights, What Are They Really?" (Bradich Books, 2008). In January, 2020 the paperback version was listed at Amazon although the ebook was available at Kindle since 2011.
I found that it was not nearly enough to write an important book but publicizing it was a whole new effort that required different knowledge and personality. If unsuccessful, the whole project can be a loss for both the author and the world. Because of this barrier, I did not write another book until 2019. However, I was concerned with the direction that democratic governments were taking the world and had to speak up.
My second book, "Government for a New Age" was published at Amazon (paperback) and Kindle (ebook) in late January, 2020 but was later unpublished because the title duplicated a book published in 2015 by another author. The tile was changed to "Governance for a New Era" and the book republished at Amazon on 2020 June 30. It prescribes the reinvention of government from new theory presented in the book. Reviews are invited.
