Debra Ray Browning

Debra lives in a little village in Scenic West Virginia with her two furkids, Sinda and Tut, and her 19-year-old turtle, Myrtle. She is the proud mother of two grown sons and a lovely daughter-in-law. Debra enjoys writing, reading and photography. She has worked at the same hometown bank in her village for over 30 years. To relax she listens to Smooth Jazz, Celtic and Classical Music. Debra loves anything Sherlock Holmes and enjoys true crime and BBC detective Shows. One of her lifelong dreams was fulfilled not once, but twice as she had the opportunity in 2018 and 2019 to travel to Scotland and behold the beauty of her ancestral home.

When asked where she came up with the name, Laitherville, Debra tells that over 30 years before the book was published, she dreamed the name. The only things remembered on waking was she and someone was in a small plane and it crashed. When they climbed out of the wreckage, in front of them was a Victorian style sign at the entrance of a Village and the name on the sign was Laitherville. Debra loved it! The name stuck in her mind and ideas formed about how she could use it. Perhaps the name of a village in a novel....what about the name of a novel....Laitherville was born.
