Dr Joy Francis

Dr. Joy Francis was born in the Midwest to a family with Scandinavian roots. Early on, her family instilled a strong work ethic in her along with a love of travel. She attributes her love of adventure to her grandfather who at the age of thirteen, ventured across the country to rejoin his family during the Great Depression. Dr. Joy has discovered the incredible countries of Eastern and Western Europe, Brazil, and most of the United States. In her early twenties, she settled in Virginia, surrendered her life to the Lord and has spent the last fifteen years of her life teaching. She is happily married and now lives near the Adirondack Mountains. As a college professor, she seeks to convey that each individual is valuable, cherished and loved.
