Farhana Sheikh was born in Lahore and brought up in London. She has written a dozen plays,
among them the award-winning Mincemeat, with Adrian Jackson (Oberon Books). Her novel,
The Red Box (The Women's Press), remains a much-discussed landmark in British Asian literature.
