Crack a cold beer, sleuths. I'm Nova West and I live in the east, but no longer reside in the hell hole that is Greene County, TN. Trouble's brewing there and I wasn't gonna hang around to be the next dead body found in the Nolichucky River.

Devil's Playground is my story, my personal account of my efforts to free Vonda Smith, the woman who has been wrongly convicted of the murder of Jessie Morrison and her unborn baby. Written in a unique tone, I provide the facts of the case, theories and personal opinions, rumors, insider info and an assortment of players, some of whom I took the liberty of sketching so that you fine readers could have a face to the name. This was no small task and I'm no artist, so you can find me on Twitter and tease me about them later.

I'll leave you with this... the book comes to a close with two unexpected twists, neither of which even I saw coming. One in particular, was so... uh... spectacular, that it nearly caused me not to publish the book at all.
