E.S. Rocha writes fantasy for readers who have ever felt like they were carrying a secret too big to explain.

His debut novel, Sean Harper and The Last Essene, follows a fourteen year old boy with mismatched eyes and marks that glow gold in the dark, a boy who sees angels and demons nobody else can see. When the hiding finally ends, Sean is pulled through a portal into Lumina, a city of light beyond our world, where an ancient prophecy has been waiting for him, and something far older is coming to finish what it started.

Before he wrote about hidden worlds, E.S. Rocha spent nearly thirty years in this one. He holds a Master's degree in Education and has taught, trained, and spoken in 22 countries. Much of what Sean feels, the fear of being different, the weight of a gift you never asked for, the friends who decide to stay anyway, comes straight out of real conversations with real students who were fighting battles nobody else could see.

He also writes non-fiction on leadership, faith, and personal growth.

Born in Brazil, he has lived in Canada and now writes from Porto, Portugal, where he lives with his wife Dani and their two children, usually with too much coffee and a notebook full of maps.
