IAN OLIO

Who am I? A regular guy who goes for a 10 km run every day and then makes breakfast for his family. What's my modus operandi? I get up at 5 AM, drink my yerba and take the youngest member of my family, 3-year old Buddy the Labrador, for a walk. When my kids have gone to school and kindergarten, I start work. I write, take notes, edit. Drudgery. When I try to get to know the world that my children are interested in, I immerse myself in it completely and only after several hours I take a break for a spelt pizza and some heavier music. Music and running clear my mind and keep me interested in everything around me. What are my dreams? I would like to raise my four children to become wise, good and empathic people, and then sit in a comfy chair with my beautiful wife at my side and a good book.

What else? I first opened my eyes in Italy, in a tiny picturesque town where my parents still live and whose name has been engraved in stone in six languages. I now live in New York, the city that welcomed me over 10 years ago. I suffer permanent writing blitz that has so far resulted in over 30 children's books, with new ones emerging from the subconscious... they keep emerging... and emerging...
