Les Jackson

Les enjoys understanding how things work, proving concepts then telling people about it! He lives and works in Melbourne, Australia but is originally from Glasgow, (Scotland’s largest city).

Since completing his Computer Science degree in 1998, (yes, he's that old!), Les has always working in IT, primarily in the telecommunications industry, most usually with the incumbent national telecom providers. He currently works for Telstra, (Australia's largest telco), running a team of incredibly talented Solution Analysts and Designers.

Les holds several industry accreditations, most recently re-acquiring a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer certification, although he still believes there is no substitute for a combination of passion, experience and a continued desire to learn something new.

Aside from his day job, Les enjoys producing content for his YouTube channel and blog, and has recently started writing his next book on Microservices.

In his downtime Les likes cycling, drinking coffee and beer, (although not usually at the same time), attempting to grow vegetables and travelling.
