Tim Garland

Tim met Clay Duncan while in college at the University of North Alabama through their fraternity, Sigma Chi. Clay had been discipled through the ministry of Campus Outreach. Clay not only took the time to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ's life, death, burial, resurrection with Tim; but also shared God's story of redemption throughout the Bible. After three months God worked in Tim's heart and transformed Tim. Upon hearing that Tim was a new believer in Christ, Clay challenged Tim to discipleship. Clay asked that Tim would follow him as he followed Christ and that Tim would make disciples for the rest of his life. Tim committed to follow Christ in the discipleship process in 1992. Tim read everything he could find on discipleship, invested time, energy and effort to discover what it meant to make disciples of all nations. After about 15 years of making disciples several men who Tim discipled challenged him to put into writing the process that Tim was using to disciple men. This book is that process.

Tim is happily married to Kelly and has four sons. Tim is currently the Lead Teaching Pastor of Grace Fellowship Church in Decatur, Alabama. Tim also is the President and founder of Gospel Opportunities Dominican Republic where he trains Pastors in the process of discipleship.
