Richard L. Bowman

While his desk looks cluttered and maybe even disorganized, Richard has mostly been able to keep things straight among his varied interests. As Professor of Physics, A. Leroy and Wanda H. Baker Chair of Science, Emeritus, at Bridgewater College, VA, USA, he keeps an avid interest in physics, fractals, and Christian faith and science. He graduated with a PhD in biophysics from Oregon State University and has taught at the college level in the US for thirty-three years. He has also taught high school math for one semester in Belize and for more than three years in Albania.

As a person with a deep Christian faith, Richard has pastored full-time for three years and been a minister and overseer on marginal time for more than twenty years. Presently in retirement in Harrisonburg, VA, USA, he is active as a volunteer chaplain. He also continues to write and publish short articles for the religious church press.

In June 2020, Richard and his wife Elsie will have been married for fifty years. They very much enjoy spending time with their four children and their spouses and children. They find ten grandchildren to be quite the quiver full.

You may follow some of Richard's interests at his web site, www.RichardLBowman.com where he will be placing more photos, blogs, and study guides for his books.
