Jacquelyn, who’s known as Jackie, was born in Charleston, SC. After graduating Bonds Wilson High School, she attended Tri-Dent Tech, in Charleston, SC, where she completed her certification as a Medical Ward Clerk.
She is the eighth child of nine children. In 1976, she moved to Denison, Texas, where she married Jesse Kelly, who is an ordained pastor, teacher, and a retired paramedic firefighter. Jesse Kelly was born in Denison, TX, the fourth child of nine, which reminded Jackie of her large family. Together, they raised a smaller family and have three loving, grown children. Jackie is a grandparent of three grandchildren, and a mother-in-law of two wonderful daughters-in-law and an awesome son-in-law.
Jackie has been a member of Victory Life Church at the Sherman, TX, location for about 13 or 14 years. She serves on the worship, ministry, and grow teams, and her and Jesse have been hosting and leading a Life Group in their home twice a month for years now. She has done many speaking engagements, sharing God's Word and lifting up Jesus at different churches, women’s meetings, and bible studies in her community and other places.
She was a seamstress full-time for years as a business and now it’s just her hobby. She loves using her gift of creating things, sewing, as well as arts and crafts to bless people. She just wants to be an encourager for Jesus.
Jackie considers this adventure of writing a book, however, to be her biggest stretch
from the Lord yet. “I know God is stretching us and enlarging our borders,” she says. "Here I go Lord, I am an author, stretching all the way, watching you expand my borders. I am telling my story for your glory!"
