Cate Brusenbach

As an avid reader, Cate wanted to write books. The oldest of seven children, born in Illinois in 1956, she was well into her 50's before she wrote her first book, 'Willow and the Indian Trail Marker Tree'. She found that if she wrote about what she actually knew, the process was easy. The Willow character is basically Cate. She writes about her actual experiences and each book has a message. Cate has several more Willow books in the pipeline and hopes to bring them to life in the near future.

Besides writing, Cate crochets, and teaches beginners the craft. She has also appeared on TV, video and newsprint for her cooking accomplishments.
