Kelly McVicker is an educator, pickle maker, and entrepreneur. As founder of McVicker Pickles, she has developed custom pickles for clients including Shake Shack and Creator. Her award-winning pickled creations have been featured on restaurant and bar menus across San Francisco. Kelly’s popular workshops on fermentation, home canning, and other food preservation techniques help people discover the joys of preserving their own food safely and deliciously. A certified Master Food Preserver, she has presented at food festivals and fairs across the United States, including a speech at TEDx entitled “Pickling and the Art of Time Travel.” Kelly lives in San Francisco, along with an abundance of pickled things that she expects will come in handy during the next earthquake.
