Owen D Hill

Owen Hill is an underground writer and poet. Influenced by social, cultural, and economic issues. The forgotten underbelly of society is brought into the limelight throughout his work. From a deep sense of compassion for all types of people, his style can be impulsive and calculated depending on the theme. Raised in a nomadic lifestyle, his openness and curiosity about the world allowed him to navigate a poor and fractured childhood where homelessness was routinely a challenge. Viewing the world through an optimistic lens, his sometimes unsavory roots add flavor twists throughout his writing. Humanity, philosophy, and the deep conversations around such topics contribute to a lifelong quest for meaning and understanding. Often unconventional, he’s left optimistic scribbles of life’s elegance pinned to a park bench, sticky note mantras placed on the back of a train seat, or tucked away at a café table for servers and other patrons to find. As of now he has released two collections of poems with Be kind Be safe Be human and Cinders. A third and fourth collection are due out 2021.
