Gwen Hamill Yoos

Gwen Hamill Yoos is the daughter of a Methodist pastor, Robert H. Hamill; wife of a retired USN IC Chief, Ralph Yoos; mother of two daughters; and grandmother of three girls and one boy. She has been blessed to have traveled and studied abroad, has lived in 10 different states across the U.S., and currently resides in Georgia. She studied theatre in college, received a BA from the University of Massachusetts, and has a Paralegal Certificate from Paralegal Institute in New York City. Gwen’s thirty-year career in restaurant management has led her to appreciate life and people. She has worked with, taught, and trained children, youth, and adults in both secular and spiritual settings. In 1998 she attended a spiritual growth weekend called the Walk to Emmaus. After attending the Walk to Emmaus, she began writing her prayers instead of only talking to God. Throughout her adult life, she has been active in serving God by teaching, participating in leadership activities in her local church, and representing her church as a delegate to conferences and lay servant roles. Gwen says she cannot begin her day without talking with God and writing a letter to Him. She uses God’s guidance a well as life circumstances of herself and those around her in guiding her daily letters to her Lord.
