Nelson Brooks

Nelson Brooks is a writer of poetry and short stories for over twenty five years, he is just editing his 4th novel. His first, Rules For A Born Again Bachelor draws upon his experience of living and working in the city of London. In 2020 Nelson released his second novel, The Perry Gene, which is a tense thriller concerning a death from the high railway arches just south of the River Thames in London. 120, a deception bank robbery was published on Easter Friday 2022.

His other love is poetry and for the last three years he has been the poet in residence for Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park in Mile End, East London. His work speaks to history, nature and the seasonality of this ex-Victorian graveyard and now City park. The anthology of the three year's of poetry was released in kindle and paperback formats in April 2021. He is currently engaged on a year long project based on poetry relating to the London underground to be published in Mid-2023.

When not slaving over a hot keyboard, he can be found splitting his time between London and Yorkshire, frequenting karaoke bars and fine eating houses. On the odd occasion he has been known to write songs and also make videos.

His biggest supporters and harshest critics are his wife and three children, who challenge his every written word.
