Greg Washington was born in Houston, Texas, on September 20, 1970. He had the opportunity to call California and Florida "home," as his family traveled during his father's military service. Greg is a graduate of Point University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministries. Greg is married to his wife, Malika. Together, they have five awesome children.
In the summer of 2018, Greg resigned from his nine-year tenure as the Director of Youth Programming at City of Refuge, Atlanta. He began focusing his efforts on the organization's reentry initiatives. Today, Greg is the Director of Family Reunification and Reentry. He takes pride in promoting leadership and fatherhood. Greg currently facilitates the TYRO Leadership and TYRO Dads curriculums for returning citizens in the Georgia Department of Corrections.
He loves the fact that investing in other's lives isn't just work for him, but rather an opportunity to minister, serve, and help create a generation of restored leaders. Greg knows much about the need for restoration. His life once paralleled the lives of those he now supports. His honesty about his wrong decisions - and the redemption that he experienced - created a foundation for him to write Mind of a Hustler.
