David W. Swanson

Raised on a dairy farm in Central Michigan, David Swanson graduated from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. Then, after a four year stint in the Navy, he received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management in Phoenix, Arizona. Starting his professional career as the Export Manager for Elder Pharmaceuticals in Bryan, Ohio, he ultimately rose to the position of Executive Vice President. Then, in October of 1981, he founded Daavlin, a medical device manufacturing company and remains its President, CEO and majority shareholder. Swanson divides his time between his homes in Bryan and on Portage Lake in northwestern Michigan.
