Brooklynn Langston knew she wanted to be an author after reading The Outsiders for the first time in the sixth grade. The call to write something that would impact her generation was so loud, she couldn’t hear anything else. She knew there was a story about broken people finding hope that had to be told. She began writing Cirque her junior year of high school (nearly failing all other classes to do so) and in 2019 decided to establish her own publishing company, Langston Publishing, to be able to finally release Cirque in 2020 instead of waiting around for a company to do it for her. She has worked with the youth of Jersey City as a youth pastor for several years, worked as a substitute teacher, and dreamed of the day when she’d be able to share the story of Cirque with the world. She currently lives in Jersey City, NJ and attends Tapestry Church.
