M.J. Forrest

M.J. Forrest was born and raised in Wilmington, Massachusetts, where she tried several different jobs while still in high school. Working in a department store cutting materials, she then moved on to a plastic factory and a lighting factory, after which she graduated high school and went to college. She majored in theater but took computer, modeling, dance, and voice as well. She went on to tour with magicians and puppeteers, which she enjoyed tremendously and continued with her own puppets and magic later. Finding a job in television, she landed in Huntsville, Alabama where she now resides. M.J. sang for a while in the Huntsville Opera Theater. She got her license to teach cosmetology, her license to scuba dive, and continues to work on her pilot's license. She has lived in many states, as well as Nova Scotia, Canada, where she had her two children.

M.J. has many interests, including crafts, reading, movies, planning parties, and of course, her grandchildren.

Being a Peer Support Specialist in Alabama and having been connected to "In Our Own Voice," she has worked with the mentally ill. Additionally, she can say, "I'm A.S.S."
