Dilys Sillah is a Transformational Life Coach, specialising in emotional independence and relationship coaching. She is a TEDx speaker and founder of former charity ‘Who Will Hear My Cry’ (WWHMC) that raised awareness on rape, child abuse and domestic violence.
Not This Widow – A Journey Of Grief: Love, Loss, Strength and Survival is her second book. Her first is Predator or Prince: How To Find The Man Of Your Dreams, Not Your Nightmares which educates women on how to spot red flags in men who may be emotionally or physically abusive.
Dilys began her writing journey as an advocate for abused women and children. Her profession as a coach gave her insight into the challenges that come with recovering from trauma, failed and unhealthy relationships and how people bounce back from those experiences or not.
Her passion to support women to build self-confidence, self-esteem and stand against societal or cultural stereotypes laid the foundation for her greatest test. She was unexpectedly widowed and introduced to the world of victimisation, isolation and profound grief. All these factors inspired her to fight another cause for not only widows, but those who have lost a loved one and want to grieve authentically, but don’t know how.
Dilys lives and works from her home in London and enjoys travelling, meeting new people and singing, which she used to do professionally. She has shared the stage with some gospel and RnB greats and was a backing vocalist on a number one single in the early 90s, ironically called ‘Things Can Only Get Better, by D:Ream.
