About Robert Imrie

Robert Imrie was born in upstate New York. He lived for 17 years in Japan where he studied Japanese, taught English, worked for a bank and an airline, and wrote for newspapers and magazines. His first novel, "Fallen Flower," is based there. Of his book "Drop Dead," the St Paul Pioneer Press book reviewer called it, "One of the funniest Minnesota-based murder mysteries I've read." His book of short stories, "Do You Know Who I Am?" draws on his experiences (and daydreams) of flying around the world and training often recalcitrant doctors how to use medical software. He lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with his wife and cat, Kuro.
