Emilio G. Mandel

Emilio G. Mandel (1966) nació en la ciudad de Pergamino, Argentina, siendo la segunda generación de inmigrantes alemanes, suizos y españoles.

En su ciudad natal completó los estudios secundarios en la especialidad agropecuaria, época en la que desarrolló un profundo amor por su tierra y por la vida, la cultura y las tradiciones del área rural de su país. Durante sus últimos años como estudiante secundario descubre lo que sería su verdadera pasión para toda la vida, el periodismo escrito. A los 17 años trabajaba como periodista en el periódico El Tiempo de Pergamino, una verdadera escuela donde profundizó el amor hacia el arte de comunicar. Posteriormente estudió periodismo a nivel terciario en la Escuela Superior de Periodismo de la ciudad de La Plata, un ámbito cultural altamente enriquecedor que marcó su vida.

Desde muy joven, autores como Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Julio Verne o Kahlil Gibran y libros como Los viajes de Gulliver, Robinson Crusoe o La cabaña del tío Tom convivieron en su biblioteca con libros como la Biblia, Autobiografía de un Yogui, cuentos vedas y los clásicos cuentos del Mulá Nasrudín, los que cimentaron en él una cultura universal y unificadora, en la que todos los seres humanos, sin importar raza, religión o nacionalidad, son parte de una sola familia.

Tras una profunda experiencia espiritual comienza a visitar diferentes grupos religiosos y esotéricos deseando aprender de ellos. Con su curiosidad de escritor y periodista busca respuestas a preguntas esenciales sobre la vida y la muerte, los secretos del espíritu humano y la razón por la que nacemos y vivimos. Atraído por las enseñanzas de El Principio Divino, se une al movimiento del Rev. Sun Myung Moon, participando de sus actividades a nivel nacional e internacional.

En el año 2007 la prestigiosa compañía teatral Havanafama, con base en la ciudad de Miami, le otorga el premio “Angeles de Havanafama” por su aporte a la cultura y al idioma español en los Estados Unidos.

Emilio G. Mandel (1966) was born in the city of Pergamino, Argentina, as the second generation of German, Swiss and Spanish immigrants.

In his hometown, he completed high school education in the specialty of agriculture, at which time he developed a deep love for his land and for the life, culture and traditions of the rural area of his country. During his last years as a high school student, he discovers what his true passion for a lifetime would be, written journalism. At 17 he worked as a journalist in the newspaper El Tiempo of Pergamino, a true school where he deepened his love for the art of communication. Later he studied journalism at the college level at the Superior School of Journalism in the city of La Plata, a highly enriching cultural place that marked his life.

From a very young age, authors such as Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Julio Verne or Kahlil Gibran and books such as Gulliver's Travels, Robinson Crusoe or Uncle Tom's Cabin lived in his library with books such as the Bible, Autobiography of a Yogi, Vedas stories and the classic tales of Mulá Nasrudín, which founded in him a universal and unifying culture, in which all human beings, regardless of race, religion or nationality, are part of one family.

After a deeply spiritual experience, he begins to visit different religious and esoteric groups, wishing to learn from them. With his curiosity as a writer and journalist, he seeks answers to essential questions about life and death, the secrets of the human spirit and the reason we are born and live. Attracted by the teachings of The Divine Principle, he joins the movement of Rev. Sun Myung Moon, participating in its activities nationally and internationally.

In 2007, the prestigious theater company Havanafama, based in the city of Miami, awarded him the "Angeles de Havanafama" award for his contribution to Spanish culture and language in the United States.
