Adela Pilowsky is a Chile-born pianist, teacher, painter, and author of the novels It Happened in the Mining Town and The Girl from Santiago. She dedicated most of her life to music, performing at international venues as an award-winning concert pianist. Adela was born to Polish-Jewish parents who managed to escape Poland shortly before WW2, thus escaping the Holocaust. Today, Adela spends her time writing poignant, vivid, and captivating fiction and short stories while drawing inspiration from the people of her homeland.
Her first novel, It Happened in the Mining Town, follows three generations of copper miners during the military coup in Chile in the 1970s.
Her second novel, The Girl from Santiago, combines Adela’s three great passions: music, painting, and writing.
