Colin Taylor is a writer and oral storyteller.
Colin now writes as Gabriel Langley. There are lots of Colin Taylors on Amazon, but there’s only one Gabriel Langley.
He writes fiction for children, short stories and poetry for adults and has written musicals for schools to perform. Having been a primary school teacher for many years, he is well qualified in knowing what children like to hear and read.
“I’ve read so many children’s books. I’ve read them to children in schools, read them to my own children, read them to my grandchildren and read them just for myself.”
Colin has written nine books. Eight for children and one, Return to Eden, for anyone over the age of eleven who is a child at heart. The Restaurant Bear was his first story for children. The sequel, The Restaurant Bear Returns, is now published and The Wishdosher, Stone Circle Secret and The Secret in the Hills are also available.
The Sticker Monster, his first picture book, has been followed by The Glitter Monster and Charlotte and the Painted Pixies.
Described as a dynamic, distinctive and fascinating storyteller, who never fails to grab the attention of children and adults. Colin tells tales that children of primary age love. As a professional storyteller, Colin can draw on the worldwide traditional story repertoire and also tells and reads many of his own unique stories, written especially for children.
He is an active member of Brentwood Writers’ Circle and over time has taken on the roles of chair, vice chair and committee member.
