Elaine Corum Strawn

Elaine taught for eighteen years in her own preschool program before getting hired to teach kindergarten in a public school district. She taught kindergarten for nine years before looping to first grade. She is in her thirteenth year in Title 1 schools with her district. She is the mother of two grown daughters and lives in Missouri with her husband Joe and their dog Winnie. Besides being passionate about teaching, she loves a good run on a warm Spring day, a good football game on a crisp fall day, a good book on a cold winter day, and a good pool on a hot summer day. Her favorite way to spend time is with her family and friends and a good glass of wine.
