LaKesha SMALL grew up in a family dedicated to the educational system. Her parents created a pathway that led SMALL to have a passion for continuous learning. At an early age SMALL understood the value and purpose of education in our society. SMALL's father the late, Alfred Lee, Jr served in the United States Navy and her mother Cathy Lee is a retired public school teacher after 39 years of teaching grades K-12.
Today, SMALL continues the family legacy. She is an Electrical Engineering Manager with almost 18 years of experience in the high-tech industry. SMALL is noted for her community engagement through volunteering, mentoring and being a role model for the next generation. She is the founder of the non-profit organization the Lee-Small Foundation.
As the voice of the community her goal is to develop an enrich environment for EVERY student to succeed.
