Todd Leadens is an American born author with a passion for teaching complex concepts. Drawing inspiration from the challenges and experiences he witnesses in peoples daily lives, he writes with a singular purpose. His ambition is to help his readers, who are predominantly children, to find greater joy and happiness in their lives. Although professionally, he is a Mechanical Design Engineer working in medical device design, he has managed to maintain his childlike spirit through tutoring, mentoring and coaching children over the years. Throughout college, he stood by his passions for education and worked to expand mentoring programs for foster youth. At only 23 years old, he became the youngest licensed male foster parent in the United States in 2011. Today, he is focused on serving the world through education and design, and has turned to creative media to do so.
In his first work, Footsteps, he explores the fundamental nature of fear we humans share, and how, with the right mindset, we can see beauty and excitement in unexpected situations. Footsteps is a book intended to be read along with your child, and provide discussion points while expanding their vocabulary to include specific descriptive words.
If you've had an opportunity to read his first book, stay tuned as his next book will be focusing on the very nature of a child's imagination, and how it can impact their sleep.
Todd hopes to continue sharing his mindset with the world through creative storytelling and would love to hear your stories and experiences in life.
