Stories with intrigue give great fun for both the reader and the writer. I have been writing for many years but have only recently decided to publish beyond a first tentative touches into the market a few years ago The time had come, so I have published many books.

In the past as a teacher, university lecturer, and senior manager in the IT industry I wrote extensively but mainly educational, technical and managerial articles. I also completed a thesis for a PhD.

My interests have always been reading, walking to explore the countryside and cooking so I turned my enthusiasm into books.

Then I became gripped by creating stories and characters but did not confine myself to one genre.

All my books have well developed characters that create intrigue as they intermingle on the fast paced plots and story lines. Across the genres my books may be described cosy as they avoid explicit sex, violence and profanity.

The different genres for my books:

Murder Mysteries - Standalone whodunnits with plenty of twists and turns

Alexandra Drummond Series - Action Thrillers

The Reluctant Detective Series - A Milltown Detective

Contemporary Fiction - Individual stories about women building a new life after trauma

The Historical Fiction Collection - First person accounts of real people in history before they became famous

Non-fiction : Seasonal Recipes - Inspired by walking the local area

Local Heritage Literature - A Readable and Illustrated Account Peak District Literature 1530-1950

I live with my wife in a quaint village within the Peak District National Park in the heart of England.
