With experience as a Capitol Hill researcher and ghostwriter, as a college professor of English, as a professional astrologer, a husband and father, I have been privileged to have a unique lens and vantage point to observe the pageantry of human life unfolding both within me and before my eyes. Over time I noticed that no matter the environment, there were some basic characteristics and patterns of behavior that repeatedly emerged both among those with whom I interacted personally and those whom I observed in the wider public arena both contemporary and historic. The desire to determine if my anecdotal observations could find a framework in recognized and accepted theories of human development was fueled by my natural curiosity and greatly assisted both by my love of reading and by my experience recording ideas in written form as a ghostwriter of the nationally syndicated newspaper column of Congressman Augustus F. Hawkins of California.
In addition, I have earned a BA in English and American Literature at Brown University and a Master of Arts in Communication at Stanford University.
