Rik Forgo

Rik Forgo was born in Washington DC and grew up in Southern Maryland. He always had an affinity for writing and took that interest with him to the military where he was journalist and correspondent with the U.S. Air Force. He served in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, and wrote about Air Force missions and people, including humanitarian aid missions in Panama and Albania. He helped publish two books on the local histories of Maryland towns, "A Train Runs Through It" and "Linthicum Vignettes: Tales of a Linthicum Historian." A classic rock aficionado, he wrote his first book, "Eagles: Before the Band," in 2019 as part of a trilogy on the band's evolution. He currently lives in Lake Shore, Maryland, with his wife, Maureen.
