Rob’s history in sales, sales management and leadership spans 3 decades. He has built sales teams with fortune 500 companies at IBM and Microsoft. Starting in the technology distribution industry he sold himself to IBM where he progressed from entry level sales to leading North American teams within 5 years. While at IBM he was a key leader in the development of the worldwide software business partner channel and led the Canadian independent software vendor recruitment team and then a North American team. After great success and consistent overachievement, he took on the challenge of leading a North American mid-market sales team to 5 consecutive 100% clubs. He left IBM in 2007 to lead the medium business sales team at Microsoft, where he led the team to 4 consecutive years of 100% achievement.
In 2011, Rob left the security of a corporate job to become an entrepreneur. He launched a company to fill a need he recognized during his days in corporate North America – selling. He created a team of fractional sales executives and applied his methodology to drive new business for companies. He saw how many entrepreneurs were “flying by the seat of their pants” and were lacking in understanding the basics of sales.
During this time, Rob met Frank Dion. Frank had been an entrepreneur for many years and had developed a strategic approach to sales for business. They found synergies in their approach and together they launched Get More Sales Corporation, where they help entrepreneurs pivot from selling their products to selling their value.
In his endeavors as an entrepreneur, Rob developed a need to give back. His joy for entrepreneurship and the rewards it can bring has led him to help as many people as possible develop their mindset to become entrepreneurs. Gaining control over time and money is central to what Rob teaches.
Rob lives in the Toronto, Canada area with his wife Anna-Lisa and 3 kids and 2 in-laws. He spends his time mentoring those who are willing, on success and entrepreneurship and of course selling. Rob enjoys writing and has written many articles, some of them published, some not. You can find his writing on the Get More Sales website at www.getmoresalescorp.com/news . When you don’t find him writing he will be on the golf course thinking about what to write about next.
