Steve Moats

Steve Moats was born and raised in the mountains of West Virginia. Growing up on a farm, he learned the value of hard work and to never take care of your neighbor's farm while they are away because their old grey mule might just up and die in the middle of the barnyard. Graduated Preston County High School as member of the National Honor Society. Served 8 years in the US Army Reserve as a Chemical Operations Specialist, military instructor, and acted as a combat medic. Attended Fairmont State University, where he received a bachelor of science degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Completed Paramedic course after college and became a Nationally Registered Paramedic. Volunteered and served with various local rescue squads for 12 years. Started his own home improvement business and became a licensed West Virginia General Contractor. When the kids hatched, he became a stay at home father changing more diapers than any human should ever be exposed to. As the kids grew, he finally got the time to start writing.
