Abel Laurent
Abel Laurent was born in Callao (1953), Perú. For thirty four years he works in the Cusco City at 3400 meters above sea level. He was part of the team of collaborators of Dr. Miguel Oliveros who won in Perú the Hipólito Unanue Prize for Best Scientific Edition on Medical Sciences - 2001. His collaboration was about the Newborn in the Andes Highlands of Peru.
He received in 2009 the Medal of Merit for Health Services (Awarded by the Medical College of Peru).He was Head of the Neonatology Service, Head of the Department of Pediatrics, Director of the Essalud Hospital of Cusco and Manager of the EsSalud Cusco Healthcare Network.

Abel Laurent (1953-) nació en el Callao, Perú. Durante treinta y cuatro años trabaja en la ciudad de Cusco a 3400 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Formó parte del equipo de colaboradores del Dr. Miguel Oliveros que ganó en Perú el Premio Hipólito Unanue a la Mejor Edición Científica en Ciencias Médicas - 2001. Su colaboración fue sobre el Recién Nacido en los Andes de Perú.
Recibió en 2009 la Medalla al Mérito por los Servicios de Salud (Otorgado por el Colegio Médico de Perú). Fue Jefe del Servicio de Neonatología, Jefe del Departamento de Pediatría, Director del Hospital Essalud de Cusco y Gerente de la Red Asistencial de EsSalud Cusco
