G R Gentile

G.R. Gentile was born in Quincy, Massachusetts on August 13, 1990. He was the youngest of four and his father was a musician, and mother a teacher. Soon after his birth his family moved to upstate New York, (about an hour outside of NYC in the Hudson Valley). He studied journalism and history at the University of Rhode Island. As well, he studied Truth and Reconciliation Commissions at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. After undergrad, G.R., traveled and worked at the 9/11 Memorial before going back to school for a masters from Fordham University. He currently lives in Manhattan and teaches history in Brooklyn.
