Stefano Epifani is one of Italy’s leading experts on digital transformation and sustainability. He is the founder and president of the Digital Transformation Institute – a research foundation focused on digital sustainability – which he leads with an approach that combines scientific rigor and civic commitment.
A journalist, keynote speaker, and university professor, in recent years he has taught Internet Studies at Sapienza University of Rome and Digital Sustainability at the University of Pavia. He currently teaches Artificial Intelligence for Corporate Communication. He has also taught abroad, at the Grenoble École de Management in France, EAFIT University in Medellín, Colombia, and the United Nations University.
He has worked with the United Nations for UN-Habitat as an expert advisor on projects related to digital transformation and sustainable urban development, collaborating with institutions, governments, and research centers. A prominent figure in the Italian innovation debate, he is an active speaker both in Italy and internationally, promoting a digital culture that is more informed, inclusive, and oriented toward the common good.
