For more than twenty years I have been learning from children. My years of work experience range from learning centers to summer camps to elementary schools. For eleven years I was on an adventure--not on a "magic school bus," but on a bookmobile serving as driver and mobile librarian. It is a privilege to be in a position to touch the minds of the next generation through the power of words. I have been writing since ten years old. I have a degree in English writing and literature, and two diplomas from the Institute of Children's Literature.

When I am not reading or writing I enjoy swimming and spending time with my family. My all time favorite author is Gary Paulsen. I consider myself a children's book junkie and I am proud of it! So it makes sense that my home away from home is the children's section of any library or book store.
