Jesica Nkouaga

Jesica grew up on a dairy farm in Minnesota. During and after university, she had the opportunity to travel and teach in several different countries learning fascinating things about cultures, religions, languages, and more. She is excited to share her experiences and adventures with you through children's books!

Jesica earned a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and a Master of Liberal Studies in ESOL Education as well as certificates in Montessori preschool education and children's book writing.  She is also a certified yoga teacher. She has taught English as a second and foreign language in Jordan, Honduras, Thailand, Macau, Uganda, and the USA. She taught ESL for the University of Wisconsin and trains teachers online for the International TEFL Academy of Chicago.  When she is not working on a new children's book, she enjoys hiking, studying French, and growing new things in the garden. Improving her French to speak with her Cameroonian husband and his family is her lifelong goal. She lives with her husband, two big dogs, four cuddly kittens, and 29 backyard chickens in New Mexico. Thank you for your interest and support!
