Nancy Monsman is a writer, musician and painter residing in Tucson Arizona. She has now begun her third volume devoted to the world's chamber repertoire. This most recent study focuses on a selection of the vast duo literature written from 1750 to the present day, a fascinating trove since it often functions as a trial for composers' larger works. Its working title is "A Friend's Guide to Chamber Music: Trends in Duo Literature from 1750." As in the first two volumes, the organization will be geographical and chronological.
