Christine Varnado

Christine Varnado teaches gender and sexuality studies at the University at Buffalo-SUNY. *The Shapes of Fancy: Reading for Queer Desire in Early Modern Literature* is her first book. Her essays appear in Exemplaria, Renaissance Drama, and the edited collections *Sex Before Sex: Figuring the Act in Early Modern England* (Minnesota, 2013), and *Queer Shakespeare: Desire and Sexuality* (Bloomsbury Arden Shakespeare, 2017).
