Ben Champion – Author of FINDING BETTER

Ben Champion is a 20-something who... (blah blah blah, enter some stereotypical list of accomplishments). Instead, here's a Q and A to get to know me better.

"What movie can you watch over and over without ever getting tired of it?"

If we’re talking funny movie, then Hot Rod. If we’re talking meaningful, then About Time.

"What 'old person' things do you do?"

I drink coffee black, I can fall asleep in any chair, and I use words like “oopsie” and “darn it!”

"Which do you like more dogs or cats?"

Life isn’t complete without dogs.

"What’s your guilty pleasure?"

Reese’s (Easter Egg edition—more peanut butter).

"If you could have an all-expenses paid trip to see any part of the world, where would you go?"

Scotland is up there. Or Australia.

"What is the dumbest way you’ve been injured?"

Jumping into a pile of snow.

"What is the most random thing you’ve ever watched all the way through on Netflix?"

Jiro Dreams of Sushi.

"What simple change could you make in your life that would have the biggest positive impact?"

Calling friends and family on a more regular basis just to catch up.

"What is the most embarrassing thing you have ever worn?"

A Ninja Turtles themed toga.

"What about becoming an adult caught you completely off guard?"

That life is truly hard. Adults had been telling me that my entire life, but I didn't recognize the depth of that statement until I entered my 20s. Of course, there are really good things that we experience (deepening friendships, personal achievements, and new opportunities). But, there are also really hard things we face (having to let things and people go, inner-personal battles, and anxiety-inducing uncertainty). “Life” is this awesome, challenging, fun, stressful mixed bag of memories and moments. There are plenty of highs, but with the highs come some lows; no one gets off scot-free. The lows were harder than I expected, but I was equally caught off guard by how they changed my perspective for an even richer life.

Thanks for checking out FINDING BETTER.

I hope it impacts your journey.

Best,

Ben
