Cherie Dortch-Walden

Cherie is a Clinical Social Worker with in-depth training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. She owns and operates a private psychotherapy practice, and is a Certified Trauma Professional, specializing in working with Law enforcement and their families.

Cherie owns a not for profit, Choose Love For Life, that she created after the death of 12 year old, Dejah Joyner, who was fatally shot in 2015. Choose Love for Life is a platform to create change through various events and workshops that promote love for ourselves, each other and our communities.

Cherie belongs to a spiritual community, Celebration Spiritual Center, in Brooklyn New York. She credits this spiritual community as being a big contributor to her own growth and success.
