Bill Vallely started his career as a newspaper artist. He was a Staff Artist for The New York Daily News and Weekend Art Director for United Press International. Illustrating science articles taught him how to explain complex ideas clearly and simply.
Mr. Vallely accepted a position as Advertising Art Director for Marvel Comics. Eventually, he sold scripts featuring such characters as Captain America and Spider-Man.
When the Editor-In-Chief of Marvel Comics started Valiant Comics, he hired Bill to write for The Super Mario Brothers, Captain N and others.
Moving on, he was Humor Editor for Penthouse Magazine’s comic book division: Penthouse Comix, Men’s Adventure and Omni Comix. During that time, he moonlighted writing for Hanna-Barbera Comics: Yogi Bear, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo and others. It was a very strange period of his life.
He was a Staff Writer for the sitcom Brotherly Love as well as writing for shows such as Star Trek: Voyager, My Wife and Kids and Nickelodeon’s Hornswiggle. He also wrote over 100 episodes for the award-winning educational DVD series Algebra’scool.
And a lot of other stuff. Mr. Vallely believes that every job he ever held led to the creation of this graphic novel. (No ego problems here!)
