In 2009, Jeff Miller plowed through his first Skoolie conversion in order to fulfill a dream, which was to live on the road and travel full-time with his wife and seven children. He leveraged his 15 years of experience in the plumbing and construction businesses to its full extent to get it done! He and his family lived on the road for two years before personal circumstances required them to park their bus and come home. Years later, his daughter was granted a wish to go to Disney World through the Make-a-Wish foundation. Jeff acquired another bus for that trip, and he was able to complete the entire conversion in just 25 days!
After completing multiple bus conversions on his own, other DIYers and Skoolie fans came to him for guidance and answers to questions. Thus, Skoolie Homes was born. Today, Skoolie Homes offers custom school bus conversions for clients across the world. Jeff and his team have converted buses into motorhomes, tiny homes, mobile stores, and food trucks. Jeff and his build team enjoy touring the nation holding workshops and demonstrating the mechanics of Skoolie conversions, while also educating and encouraging others to embrace the wanderlust of traveling the open road in a Skoolie.
As a leader in the custom bus conversion market and a seasoned Skoolie traveler, Jeff is uniquely qualified to design a fully-functional, safe, beautiful home inside a bus.
