Hannah Lin Kernal

Hannah Lin Kernal studied at UCLA and majored in English Literature. She decided to write her dystopian novel, We Pretend They’re Fireworks, to bring awareness to those who are dealing with mental health disorders. She wants readers suffering with this illness to know that they are not alone in their fight. Hannah’s personal message to her readers is: “It is okay to reach out for help. To keep things to yourself is to make yourself more vulnerable to mental health issues.”

When Hannah isn't writing you might find her listening to music, writing poetry, playing piano or commanding the dance floor with her ballroom dancing.
